| Due to the volume of stuff which needs doing to organise and check through all our reviews and news posts here, a new Admin has been recruited. You should soon start to see her additions to the dgreview site and we all appreciate the help and time shes willing to give us. Therefore its a big welcome to Buggy from everyone here at dgreview. |

Forums |

Digital Review Forums, here you will be able to add your comments about the different areas of the website and also add in your comments on any item which has been reviewed in the database. Forum comments which link to a review will be tagged on to the bottom of the actual review so that anyone will be able to marvel at your opinion. This enables people to add their own feelings as to if a review has been fair or not, and also say whether they would give the title the same rating out of ten or not.
There’s no reason why you can’t post questions too. Questions about the site in general can be placed in the Help category, however questions on a particular film or piece of software can be posted in its review, hereby the reviewer will be notified of a follow-up comment on their review and will then be able to post you a reply.
The General Chatter forum can be used for the more general comments. Anything can be posted here, from cool sites to opinions on stuff. Any problems on the site can also be reported as bugs and the webmaster will be automatically emailed. The same goes for site suggestions. |

New review catagory! |

| Due to a request from a member a new catagory has been added into the database. Reviewers can now add to the Cimema catagory meaning they are able to review the films which havnt made it onto DVD yet. Cimema reviews have not been perfected yet at they still require an amazon ASIN code, which obviously cant be added as Amazon dont stock cinemas! Over the next few days this should be perfected and hopefully the reviews should start rolling in. |

Edit Your Details |

| You may have noticed the new edit your details link in the user menu. This means that any user can now edit their own details, which means changing username password email address, review platforms and adding or editing your profile. |

Forums finished |

| The forums are now finished! Users can now add their own threads and posts into any catagory. If you discover any problems please email me and Ill sort it out as there are still a couple of issues with the chronalogical sorting of posts when a few have been added. |

Frontend Changes |

| Lots of simple changes have been made to the general template appearance of the site. Some links have been renamed and the Latest Reviews section on the right has now been reorganised. This info window has been moved back to the right hand column to even them out and some minor changes to the admin function menu have been made. Currently the web forum / discussion board is under construction along with a page for users to edit their own details and add a profile comment to their file. |

| The contact page has been improved by adding a profile page system, to get more info on any of the members listed on the Contact page just click thier name and you will be taken to a page with extra info on, like a personal profile and a list of every DVD and Game that user has ever reviewed. All linked together with the reviews section so you can click on the review and you will be taken to the appropriate review. |

Nintendo Gamecube |

| I’ve heard that some members are interested in reviewing for Nintendo Gamecube. If you would like to open up this new section please email me at Jamin@dgreview.com If there is enough response I will start work on activating the section, otherwise Im still concentrating on PS2 and XBOX as the XBOX section is in desperate need of attention. |

IRC Channel |

| Digital Review has started up an IRC channel for everyone to visit so that they can ask questions about how everything works on the site. Admins will try to spend as much time as possible on the channel so that there is always someone there to help you out, if you need it. Digital Review Goes Global |

| The Digital Review website has been launched on its global domain today, various updates are in the pipeline and the review count will soar over the next few days. | Some changes were completed on the site today which means that if there are any screenshots available on the server for the title which has been reviewed then they are shown as thumbnails on the review page for that title. These thumbnails are also links to a much larger version of the same image to give a better sense of what the game is really like. Hopefully this will improve the reviews in the future and help people viewing the site. |

This site is a potentially great resource for gamers and movie lovers who want to know the truth about games and movies, rather than the overly-critical appraisals that are visible throughout most review sites. We are fair yet we know a good film when we see one, we know a great game when we play one. Hopefully you will enjoy using this resource and regularly return to find out about that dvd or game you were thinking of buying, rather than wasting your money on it. |
